Updated bus timetables in Hungary: Improved connections and increased frequency
Starting on 17 August, several regions in Hungary will experience changes to their bus timetables, as announced by Volánbusz.
Bus timetable adjustments announced
Notably, in the Hatvan area, a new, regularised timetable will be introduced that aligns with railway services and offers more travel options. Public transport connections from Hernád-Lajosmizse will become faster and more frequent, improving access to both Budapest and Kecskemét, Economx reports, based on Volánbusz.
MÁV-Start has stated that there will be no changes to the timetable for the Budapest-Lajosmizse-Kecskemét train line in conjunction with the August bus timetable adjustments. They will continue to monitor travel demand and explore potential timetable changes to meet these needs.
In some areas, the schedules for regional bus services will also see slight adjustments to better match changing travel demands. This includes minor modifications to weekday peak times and weekend schedules, as well as alterations to certain bus routes and departure times.
