US auto supplier announces EUR 49.7m investment in Hungary
Budapest, April 6 (MTI) – Autos industry company BorgWarner is investing 15.5 billion forints (EUR 49.7m) in its Oroszlány plant in north-western Hungary, creating 600 new jobs, the foreign affairs and trade minister said on Wednesday, noting that the government is providing 1.7 billion forints in support.
“This investment shows that it is worth investing in Hungary, and American company leaders are also satisfied with opportunities here,” Péter Szijjártó said.
Attila Bogár, head of BorgWarner Turbo Systems Kft, which supplies turbo and other parts, said the current project will not be the company’s last in Hungary and it counts on the government’s support in the future, too.
