Uzbekistan’s diplomatic service expands its role in tourism, protocol, and international cooperation

The State Unitary Enterprise “Diplomatic Service” (DIPSERVICE) operates under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and plays a central role in supporting the country’s diplomatic, logistical, and international engagement activities. Acting within officially approved tariffs and procedures, the Service provides a wide range of professional solutions for diplomatic missions, international organizations, business delegations, and foreign visitors.

Comprehensive services from protocol to logistics

DIPSERVICE’s activities cover tourism, protocol and delegation services, visa and consular support, transportation, as well as organizational, technical, and maintenance assistance. This broad mandate allows the institution to function as a single coordination point for both domestic and international needs, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with diplomatic standards.

Developing tourism along the Silk Road

Tourism has become one of the most visible areas of DIPSERVICE’s work. The Service organizes domestic travel programs to Uzbekistan’s key destinations, including Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and the Fergana Valley. These programs typically include accommodation in 4–5 star hotels, airport transfers, guided excursions, and professional tour services, with both individual and group options available.

Special Silk Road itineraries lasting six days and five nights are offered for organized groups, with prices starting from approximately USD 375–420, depending on season and service scope. In addition to classical sightseeing tours, DIPSERVICE also coordinates information tours and study visits for media representatives, journalists, and bloggers, supporting Uzbekistan’s international visibility.

Experiential tourism and wine tours

Beyond traditional cultural programs, DIPSERVICE has expanded into themed tourism products, including medical tourism, eco-tourism, and year-round wine tours located near Tashkent. These programs combine vineyard visits, wine tastings, culinary masterclasses, and guided walks through ornamental gardens. Such experiential formats are particularly attractive to corporate groups and high-end visitors seeking a deeper cultural and gastronomic experience.

Protocol and delegation services at the highest level

Protocol services remain a core responsibility of DIPSERVICE. The Service ensures the reception and departure of official and business delegations at the VIP and CIP lounges of Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, providing smooth coordination and personalized assistance. When required, DIPSERVICE specialists may also assist delegations directly on board aircraft.

The institution is likewise responsible for organizing official welcoming and farewell procedures for heads of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, reflecting strict adherence to international protocol norms.

Visa and consular support for foreign visitors

Another important area of activity is visa and consular assistance. DIPSERVICE supports foreign citizens in obtaining entry visas to Uzbekistan, extending their validity, and completing temporary registration procedures. By managing documentation accurately and efficiently, the Service helps facilitate official visits, business travel, and tourism programs without administrative complications.

Premium transportation through DIPTRANSOIL

Transportation services are delivered through DIPSERVICE’s specialized branch, DIPTRANSOIL, which operates a modern fleet of business-class and premium vehicles. The fleet includes Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans, Sprinter VIP minibuses, KIA Carnival vehicles, and other high-comfort options. Access to VIP parking at Tashkent International Airport further enhances convenience for high-ranking guests and official delegations.

Technical, administrative, and customs services

In addition to visible front-line services, DIPSERVICE performs a range of technical and administrative functions. These include the registration, re-registration, deregistration, and technical inspection of vehicles belonging to diplomatic missions and international organizations in Uzbekistan. The Service also issues diplomatic license plates and equivalent driver’s licenses, and oversees customs clearance procedures for imported goods, including items with diplomatic or consular status.

Under contractual arrangements, DIPSERVICE can also deploy qualified specialists for technical maintenance and repair works at diplomatic premises.

Strengthening Uzbekistan’s international image

Through its integrated portfolio of services, DIPSERVICE contributes to strengthening Uzbekistan’s reputation as an open, professional, and well-organized partner on the international stage. By bridging diplomacy, tourism, and logistics, the institution supports foreign partners while promoting the country’s cultural heritage, hospitality, and commitment to international standards.
