Will Trump tell Orbán? US urges Europe to stop buying Russian oil

US President Donald Trump urged European leaders to stop buying Russian oil to pressure Moscow to end its war on Ukraine, and said economic pressure should be applied on China “for funding Russia’s war efforts,” a White House official said Thursday.
The US President made the appeal after being called into a “Coalition of the Willing” meeting hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, Anadolu reports.
“President Trump emphasised that Europe must stop purchasing Russian oil that is funding the war, as Russia received EUR 1.1 billion in fuel sales from the EU in one year,” the official said in a statement. “The President also emphasised that European leaders must place economic pressure on China for funding Russia’s war efforts.”

but the lord and saviors of the Hungarian nation said clearly that the sanctions were never a solution!. Orban believes that trump is a friend. Just take a look and it ended his relationship with Elon Musk, and heck, Musk can buy whole Hungary if he wants!
With all due respect to President Trump, who is doing a tremendous job saving the U.S. from going totally down the drain, Hungary needs to put HUNGARY’s interests first.
I wish we had our own oil and were self-sufficient. In the absence of that, we get it the fastest and cheapest way possible. Period.
The days of Fidesz continuing with Russian oil purchases are numbered and these politicians wil cry and make great big hysterics as they get what’s coming to them. Hungary will get oil from alternative sources but it means that these Fidesz criminals will no longer get their kickbacks from Russia and for them it is a complete tragedy.
I’m leaving this comment after watching the coverage of Trump’s state visit to Windsor and the Chequers Press conference on the 18th, where the US President stated that he would only apply sanctions on Russia if all EU states ceased importing Russian oil. He said he had only just discovered that this was still happening, and sounded quite angry about it. UK politicians and journalists believe that he was talking principally about Hungary and Slovakia. Do you or Mr Sijjártó have a clarification on these apparent contradictions?
