Wizz Air will launch a new flight between Bucharest and Budapest and doubles the number of Lisbon flights, turizmusonline.hu wrote.
Wizz Air announced on Tuesday that a new flight between Budapest and Bucharest will be launched from September 19. The flight will operate 4 days a week.
According to turizmusonline.hu, a day after TAP Portugal announced the termination of its Budapest flight after 11 years Wizz Air promised to expand its Budapest-Lisbon flight. It will operate four days a week instead of the previous 2 days a week from March 27.
The Hungary-centered airline will even expand more. They announced three new flights: from Budapest to Liverpool and Reykjavik from March, and from Budapest to Ibiza from June.
The passenger traffic of Wizz Air increased by 12% in 2015, the company offers flights to 23 countries, 58 destination from Budapest and Debrecen in total. Daily News Hungary also reported the good results of the “Hungarian airline”.
