PM Orbán: World a safer place today than yesterday due to Trump-Putin summit

The world is a safer place today than it was yesterday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Saturday.
“For years, we watched the two biggest nuclear powers dismantle the framework of their cooperation and send messages to each other. That is now over. The world is a safer place today than it was yesterday,” Orbán said on Facebook. “May there never be a worse weekend,” he added.
World a safer place as long as there is high-level US-Russia dialogue, says FM Szijjártó
The world is a safer place as long as there is high-level US-Russian dialogue, Hungary’s foreign minister has said, praising the US and Russian presidents for holding their summit.

“Today it became clear again that the war in Ukraine cannot be settled on the battlefield but at the negotiating table,” Peter Szijjarto said on Facebook on Saturday. Peace could only be achieved through negotiation and dialogue, and by keeping diplomatic channels open, he added.
“We Hungarians have been representing this position for three and a half years against Brussels and pro-war European politicians,” the minister said.
