WOW! The 50th oldest person on Earth is Hungarian! – Video
Veronka is 112 years old, she is very happy and likes if there are many young people around her. She is the 50th oldest people in the world currently and lives in Baja, South Hungary.
On February 24, Veronika Zsilinszki became the 50th oldest people on Earth. The second Hungarian is 110-year-old.
Veronika Zsilinszki was born on February 4, 1908
so she is precisely 112 years and 22 days old today. Before and after her, on the list of the world’s most aged people, there are two Americans, Stella Lennox (112 years and 24 days) and Christine Ireland (112 years and 36 days) – Magyar Hang reported.
The list of the oldest living people able to verify their age is reachable on Wikipedia, and the leaders of the list are Americans, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and French nationals. The first one is currently the Japanese Kane Tanaka (117 years and 55 days), the second is the French Lucile Randon (Sister André, 116 years and 13 days) so she is the oldest European currently.

In the 69th position, there is a Romanian national, Dumitru Comănescu who is 111 years and 110 days old while 46th is a Moldavian woman, Marian Rață with 112 years and 54 days.
Róbert Fercsák, the mayor of Bajaszentistván, visited Veronika Zsilinszki last year and the woman told him that
she is still interested in the matters of the world and likes if there are many young people around her.
Mrs Zsilinszki was born in Kevevára (today Serbia) and moved to Baja with her parents and two siblings when she was a child. She was a physical worker during her whole life, raised her only son and today her grandchild takes care of her. She liked dancing, gardening and reading before but above 110 her health state hinders her in doing these things.
In 2019, she told the local television, Baja TV that she is happy for everybody who visits her. She added that old age makes people ugly. “I have never seen beautiful old people, so I never look into the mirror because I am afraid of getting old” – she told.
Senior.hu wrote in an article before that Mrs Zsilinszki was gardening even when she was 100 years old and read newspapers without glasses when she turned 110, and she liked to eat delicious chocolate and drink red wine.
The second oldest people in Hungary is now Jánosné Kerner who was born in Kazsok (Somogy county) on December 23, 1909.
She has been living in the Támasz Nursing Home in Balatonfűzfő for five years.
She worked in restaurants and agriculture during her active years in Somogy and Baranya counties. When she retired, she moved to her only daughter and lived together with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. According to senior.hu, she still prays every day, reads the Bible, talks about the good old times with other people in the nursing home, always says her opinion and has a good sense of humour.
