Shocking: Young Hungarian woman brutally murders elderly partner in Germany, faces life sentence

A brutal murder in Germany has shocked the public: a 22-year-old Hungarian woman has been sentenced to life imprisonment after killing her 63-year-old partner in a particularly cruel manner. The incident took place in the town of Sonneberg in Thuringia, where the victim was found dead in his own flat.

A vicious and targeted attack

According to evidence presented in court, the Hungarian woman stabbed her partner three times. Two of the wounds were inflicted from behind with such force that they penetrated the chest bones. The fatal injury was caused by the third stab, which struck the trachea. The court concluded that the attack was not committed in the heat of the moment, but was deliberate and intended to be fatal.

Robbery may have been a motive

As Neue Presse stated, prosecutors stated that the woman not only killed her partner but also robbed him, taking a laptop and three mobile phones from the scene. As a result, the court found her guilty not only of murder but also of robbery.

Arrest and verdict

After the killing, the woman fled Germany, but was later arrested in Hungary under a European arrest warrant and extradited to the German authorities. The regional court in Meiningen ultimately handed down the harshest possible sentence, life imprisonment.

Recent German murder in Hungary

Recently, we wrote about how Hungarian prosecutors have brought charges against a 36-year-old German woman accused of killing her young son in the eastern Hungarian town of Karcag, in a case that has shocked the local community.

According to the Jász‑Nagykun‑Szolnok County Prosecutor’s Office, the woman allegedly strangled the child in March last year. Prosecutors are seeking a 15-year prison sentence, the exclusion of parole and the defendant’s expulsion from Hungary for ten years, 24.hu reports.

The stepfather found the body

The case will be decided by the Szolnok Court. The boy’s body was reportedly discovered by his stepfather, who returned home from work and found the child dead in a chicken coop at the family’s rented property in Karcag.

The family, both German nationals, had moved to Hungary in 2021. They first lived in a rented house in Polány before relocating to Karcag the following year. Investigators later concluded that the child’s mother was responsible for his death.
