11 Hungarian universities among the world’s best

11 Hungarian universities got into the best 2000 in the recent university ranking made by University Ranking by Academic Performance – Eduline.hu said.

Here are the Hungarian universities’ ranks:

513. Eotvos Lorand University
522. University of Debrecen
591. Semmelweis University
648. University of Szeged
782. Budapest University of Technology and Economics
877. University of Pecs
1322. University of Pannonia
1496. Szent Istvan University
1630. Central European University (CEU)
1727. Corvinus University Budapeset
1982. University of Miskolc.

The ranking is compiled on the basis of the number of scientific articles published in Web of Science index, of the number of citations to the articles written between 2011 and 2013, of scientific activities (conference lectures, discussion etc.) and of the number of scientific publications made in cooperation with foreign universities.

The list is headed by the prestigious American university, Harvard, University of Toronto is the second, Oxford is the third, John Hopkins University is the fourth and Cambridge is the fifth.
