Pepsi advertised by a Hungarian footballer playing for Liverpool
30-year-old Hungarian footballer Ádám Bogdán is the new face of Pepsi, reports Szeretlekmagyarország.hu. The company is well-known for its football oriented campaigns and advertisements. Bogdán is joining a long line of famous professional footballers who collaborated with Pepsi in the past such as David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Fernando Torres and many others. It has been 12 years since Pepsi last used a Hungarian face to promote its products.
Ádám Bogdán is a professional footballer playing as goalkeeper for English football club Liverpool and the Hungarian National Team. He is promoting two of Pepsi’s flavours: Lime and Wild Cherry, both of them are sugar-free and come with zero calories.
Pepsi already collaborated with a Hungarian footballer before. Zoltán Gera was among the international football icons starring in this Pepsi ad many years ago:
Ádám Bogdán thinks that Pepsi has always been very good at incorporating football into their ads. He was really enthusiastic about his collaboration with Pepsi. He had to attend two photo shoots here in Hungary: one in a familiar environment, in a gym and one in a free fall simulator. Bogdán said that he really enjoyed the photo shoots, especially the free fall simulator. He has already tried a free fall simulator a couple of times in England, so he was pretty good at it by now.
Nikoletta Buzder-Lantos, Marketing Manager at PepsiCo Hungary, said that it was a natural decision to work with Bogdán since he is an outstanding Hungarian football player who is loved by his audience. The company was sure that they wanted him to be the new face of the brand.
