Orbán, Nigerian bishop discuss ways to help persecuted Christians
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Nigerian Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme on Tuesday discussed ways to assist the persecuted Christians of Nigeria.
The bishop said that half of Nigerians are Christians, many of whom are exposed to incessant attacks by the Boko Haram terrorist organisation. The terrorists drive them away, and destroy their homes, schools, churches and hospitals, he said.
Bishop Doeme expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for Hungary granting special Christian scholarships to dozens of African students from September, Bertalan Havasi said.
