Hungary backs Mongolia-EU strategic cooperation
The Mongolian government is working towards securing strategic cooperation with the European Union, an endeavour that Hungary champions, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday after talks with Purevsuren Lundeg, foreign policy advisor to the president of Mongolia.
Hungarian-Mongolian economic ties go back several decades and are expected to develop further in the areas of water management, animal health and information technology in particular, a statement by the ministry said.
Mongolia is positioned between two large countries and its government is making efforts to develop strategic cooperation with the EU under the arrangements of its “third neighbour policy”.
