Foreign minister: Government blocks Soros’s efforts to bring illegal migrants to Europe

Change language:
The government knows exactly what US financier George Soros wants, and rejects his efforts to bring illegal migrants to Europe. For this reason, the government “is standing in his way”, the foreign minister told daily Magyar Hírlap in an interview published on Thursday.
It was Hungarians rather than Soros that elected the current government and parliament. Hungarians can decide what’s good for them even without a US speculator. Péter Szijjártó said.
“Soros made it clear what he wanted and it has been dubbed the ‘Soros plan’. He can now try to explain that it’s not what he thought of but we should not be naive,” the minister said.
The elections are approaching and the fact that Soros has now personally addressed Hungarians shows that he is ratcheting up his attacks. Soros does not want a sovereign government pursuing independent policies to stay in power and defend Hungary from external influence, he said.
