Sunday shop closures – The owners have to send their family members to school?

The hvg.hu said that according to the laws, the owners of the small groceries have to send their family members to school if they want to be open on Sunday. Since 2010, the salesman can stand behind the counter only if he/she has a degree in the field.

They add: the former Ministry of National Development and Economy (NFGM) has exempted a lot of occupation from requiring a skill but the salesman occupation is an exception of the rule. The salesman requires having an OKJ degree of sales associate whether they are working regularly or one day a week, on Sundays.

The National Authority for Consumer Protection (NFH) hasn’t reviled that since 2010, how often they have checked whether the regulation had been applied.
