Budapest (MTI) – Hungary will open an embassy in the capital city of Uzbekistan in the fourth quarter of 2015, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry confirmed the information by its Uzbek counterpart’s press service about the embassy opening.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Komilov discussed the plan on Tuesday with Laszlo Szabo, the ministry’s parliamentary state secretary, who led a delegation of government representatives and businesspeople, the press service said.
At the meeting, the sides also discussed topical issues in bilateral relations, as well as international and regional problem areas, the Uzbek side said.
It said that the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.
Hungary will be the 45th country to open an embassy in Tashkent where Hungary established a cultural and trade mission in January 1996.
