Hungarian army receives 250 new cars

The Hungarian army has received 250 new Suzuki Vitara SUVs, to replace part of its fleet of mostly 20 year old vehicles, Defence Minister István Simicskó said in Budapest on Monday.
The modernisation of the army is ongoing, Simicskó said, with 300 further vehicles to be deployed later.
The headcount fell, and the equipment of the Hungarian army has deteriorated in the past 25 years, Simicskó said.
If the army lacks the necessary manpower, knowledge and equipment, the state itself will become vulnerable, Simicskó said.
The Suzukis were manufactured in Esztergom, northern Hungary, the minister said, adding that their procurement also supports the Hungarian economy.
For that matter, the army also received new autobuses that were developed and manufactured in Hungary, in the cooperation of Ikarus and HM Currus Inc.

I hope that they will start purchasing material and equipment for the troops to use in case of any action.
