Medina NATO radar goes online
Budapest, July 15 (MTI) – The new NATO 3D radar went online in Medina, in southern Hungary, on Wednesday morning as planned, the defence ministry told MTI.
The radar was inaugurated by Defence Minister Csaba Hende on Tuesday afternoon. The new radar station will help defend the airspace of not only Hungary but also of NATO as a whole, the minister said at the inauguration ceremony.
Medina is the third 3D radar facility controlling Hungary’s airspace next to Bankut (N) and Bekescsaba (SE).
