Hungary, Poland ruling parties’ youth arms to strengthen cooperation
Leaders of the youth arms of the ruling parties of Hungary and Poland agreed to strengthen ties, a lawmaker of the Hungarian Christian Democratic Party (KDNP) said in south Poland’s Krynica on Thursday.
Addressing an economic forum, Lőrinc Nacsa said he held talks with the leaders of Poland’s Law and Justice Party (PiS), including Interior Ministry State Secretary Pawel Szefernaker.
They agreed to set up a regional youth forum and send delegations to their respective national celebrations, Nacsa said.
In his address at the Krynica forum’s panel discussion focusing on central Europe, Nacsa said the region would become “Europe’s economic, ideological and spiritual centre”. He emphasised the importance of close cooperation among the region’s countries on migration and promoting their “values” among the youth.
The forum will be also addressed by Hungary’s deputy house speaker János Latorcai in the evening.
The economic forum dubbed “Davos of central Europe” is taking place for the 28th time with some 5,000 participants.
