British historical series shot in Hungary

Change language:
Weekly American trade entertainment magazine Variety recently reported that the British historical drama series Jamestown’s three seasons were shot in Hungary.
According to origo.hu, the British historical drama series, which is about the first American settlers in 1620 in Virginia, was filmed in several locations in Hungary. The production of the series was brought to Central Europe because of the cheaper labor and reduced taxed rates, and producers built a whole town to shoot the series.
The sets of the series are not located in a studio but at outdoor locations which were designed to be in use for years. The second series of Jamestown was shot in February and the third season’s shooting was finished recently.
Besides series, several Hollywood productions were shot in Hungary.
