This weekend, from Friday 0 am to Sunday midnight, 23 001 refugees came through the southern border. This is as much as the population of Hajdúszoboszló and it is more than the population of Keszthely, Hatvan, Dombóvár or Komárom. The vast majority of the people arrive at the Croatian-Hungarian border, but there some who still try at the closed Serbian-Hungarian border: 12 people were caught in here on Saturday, index.hu wrote.
The Szeged District Prosecutor’s Office initiated 36 proceedings due to illegal crossing of closed border. Among the migrants, 6 of them came to Hungary at Kelebia, 3 at Röszke, one at Csikeria and the rest from an unknown location. 26 people crossed the border through the already-damaged closed border; the others came under or through the fence. All of them admitted the crime was committed: 24 Syrian, 8 Kosovar, 2 Libyan and one-one declared themselves Afghani and Iraqi. Since the announcement of the migration crisis situation, the Szeged District Prosecutor’s Office initiated accelerated proceedings against a total of 477 people due to crimes of illegal crossing of closed border.
Since January 1, the police have taken actions against 357 000 people at the external Schengen borders of Hungary.
Newspaper Magyar Hírlap wrote that according to the data of the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BAH), refugees arrived from 78 countries in Hungary. The applicants came from 8 European, 38 African, 5 American, 22 Asian and one Pacific Islander countries. Nearly 600 people’s nationality is unknown in the register. The data suggest people from Cameroon (102 in July, 141 in August) began to move on the Balkan route and the number of Nigerians and Senegalese has doubled in August, however, people from DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan went somewhere else in August, index.hu wrote. The number of the Bangladeshi people increased two and a half times, the Iraqi people by a third and the Pakistani people by 62%, and the number of people declaring themselves Syrians doubled in August.
Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told Faktor: the construction of the border lock is nearly complete at the Croatian-Hungarian border. In addition to the physical obstacle, sufficient policemen and soldiers are needed. The Visegrad countries will soon send troops to protect the border so the green border can be closed within days.
According to Szijjártó, it cannot be ruled out that violent events would happen after the closing of the border.
“We have to close the green border in such a way that we have to be prepared for violent atrocities we had to face at Röszke.”

Economic migration, is it not about time that the so called EU Commissioners came out of hiding and sorted this mess out once and for all.
Here in England we can see just how useless the EU really is and can hardly wait until our promised Referendum to vote OUT.
The Commissioners are acting during this crisis like rabbits caught up in a cars headlights, stock still and doing nothing , a total fiasco.
Can we assume that they are too old to be able to think properly around this crisis.
