This is what the HTCC Africa Expo will be like

Next year’s 5^th HTCC Africa Expo – just like the previous ones – will be held as part of the Utazas (Traveling) exhibition on March 3-6^th, globoport.hu wrote.

Ildiko Hermina Szilasi, founder and chief organizer of Africa Expo held a press conference in the 25 pavilion of Hungexpo Fair Center of Budapest. At the event, in addition to the representatives of the press, associates of several African countries’ embassies and tourist offices participated.

Three short lectures were given. Janos Rafay, director of Utazas Exhibition pointed out that the exhibition has two purposes: one is the entertainment and the information of the potential travelers as well as informing the partners and facilitating their business meetings.

Because of the 2016 Rio Olympics, various sport disciplines will be presented and a real carnival atmosphere will be created. Of course, the event’s cultural guest of honor will be Brazil, and the professional guest of honor will be China.

The second lecture was held by the director of HTCC (Hungarian Trade and Cultural Center – the title sponsor of the 2016 Africa Expo) Szabolcs Kutasi and his colleague Akos Szatmari. 8 HTCC-s have been working with great success in Africa and Asia. They help the travel of several Hungarian businessmen and there are more and more established businesses.

Ildiko Szilasi – who is more and more tightly bound to Senegal where she has been appointed to Hungary’s Honorary Counsellor of Foreign Economy – reported in her presentation that Uganda will probably be the guest of honor of next year’s Expo, and a high-ranking delegation is also expected. They also await guests from other African countries and from the Vienna embassies of the countries (since several African countries do not have diplomatic missions in Hungary – editor). The biggest event is the opening which is usually attended by 300-400 people and most of the African ambassadors accredited in Budapest are also present. On the first, the conference will be held which expects 100-120 guests. The organizer of the Africa Expo will be the Culture Africa Foundation again, globoport.hu wrote.

HTCC Business Lounge will be a novelty where businessmen can negotiate under pleasant, quiet conditions. More exhibitors and visitors are expected than as before. Programs will be exciting and more spectacular. The main media partners are Globoport, Port.hu and Index.

After the press conference, the participants of the event went to the Hungexpo Fair Center A pavilion of Budapest where they visited the location of next year’s exhibition.
