Budapest (MTI) – Hungary will contribute 189 million forints (EUR 61,000) to the European Union’s emergency trust fund for Africa, the official Hungarian Gazette reported on Wednesday.
According to a government decree published in the Gazette, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto will represent Hungary in the fund.
The fund is aimed at “addressing root causes of irregular migration” in Africa.
Hungary has until the end of November to transfer the funds.
