Italian mafioso caught in Budapest – VIDEO
Hungarian Police Fronters – in cooperation with Italian investigators – caught the Italian mafioso who had been sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment. Police released a video about the interception that was realised in Budapest’s 8th district.
The Italian court sentenced the man to 13.5 years of imprisonment, with the accusation of forming criminal gangs, money laundering, fraud, possession of stolen property, drug and firearm abuse; however, he managed to escape from the authorities. As Hungarian news portal Index describes, his whereabouts have been unknown for years, and an international arrest warrant was issued against him.
The National Investigation Bureau became aware that the 50-year-old man was hiding in Hungary. As police.hu describes, investigators contacted their colleagues at the Italian State Police; as a result of international cooperation, they successfully identified the accused person and his place of residence.
The Italian mobster was caught in Budapest’s 8th district. After identifying the accused, Hungarian Police took action and captured the delinquent.
According to 24.hu, the 50-year-old Italian mafioso will be released to the Italian authorities.
