WOW! – This Hungarian make-up artist has conquered Instagram – PHOTOS
Eszter Magyar has revolutionised the art of facial makeup with her new creative idea that has reached almost 100,000 Instagram followers so far.
The 32-year-old make-up artist was born in Budapest. Besides working in Hungary, she gained several work experiences in overseas. Previously, her works were acknowledged by such prestigious international magazines as Dazed or i-D/Vice.
The Hungarian make-up artist has become popular for her distinctive style; based on which, she created the hashtag of #uglymakeuprevolution and #makeupbrutalism.
By now, the pioneer make-up art has become so popular that her Instagram followings will soon reach 100,000.
Even though the name #makeupbrutalism might be misleading, the point is not brutal. Eszter is a fan of brutalist architecture that has become the focus of her make-up art. The essential element in both of the cases is to see the meaning behind – if someone sees only the surface, it might be ugly; since its essence and function cannot be understood at first glance.
Initially, she did not have any feedback about the phenomenon; however, the Hungarian make-up artist decided to undertake the two possible scenarios – the audience will either love it or hate it.
As Velvet reports, the point of #uglymakeuprevolution is to make direct imperfections. The special make-up movement expresses the subjectivity of beauty, and also reflects on how defect can become beautiful.
According to Eszter, she had a turning point in her career when she felt that creating perfect make-up was not challenging anymore. This was the point when the idea of #uglymakeuprevolution was born. The Hungarian girl started to experiment at home with textures and colours, always trying to add some plus to her work. After taking some photos of herself, wearing some “brutal” make-up, she decided to upload some of her works to Instagram.
Soon, her posts became so popular that the Hungarian girl created the social media movement of #makeupbrutalism in 2018.
Originally, #uglymakeuprevolution started as a joke, but as it became more and more popular on social media sites; as a result of which, the hashtag has almost reached 40,000 followers and 16-17,000 posts. As far as negative comments are concerned, the Hungarian make-up artist has become inspired by them. Eszter used her art as a reaction, creating some new works, and writing in the header that she had the most hated beauty-Insta which statement has been included in every interview since then. According to the Hungarian make-up artist, she managed to forge an advantage out of a bad thing.
