Marvel heroes come to Budapest – Disney starts its new super production in Hungary

Because of the coronavirus epidemic, the new production of Disney+ will arrive only in the second half of 2021 to Hungary. But they are already working hard on the preparations to start their work in Budapest. The company plans to create super productions. One of them will be the Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron from the third trilogy of the Star Wars series). 

According to Hungarian media, Hungary will be its Nr1 filming location, and they will make most of the scenes in Budapest.

According to Blikk, Marc Spector, alias Moon Knight, is a former marine who is the right hand of a mercenary leader named Bushman, and they are active on the border of Egypt and Sudan. Based on the plot, he realises that they are on the wrong side, so he rebels, but Bushman defeats him and lets him alone in the middle of the desert where the weather would surely kill him.

However, the ancient Egyptian god, Khonsu, the moon god, resurrects him to serve her as an avenger. The Moon Knight appeared in the Marvel comics first in 1975, and since the character was very successful, he received his first independent story in 1980. Experts often say that the

Moon Knight is Marvel’s Batman because they are very similar.

On Netflix, there has been a lot of successful superhero series in the last few years. However, even though everybody liked Daredevil, Jessica Jones, or the Punisher, such series disappeared from the platform. In contrast, Disney+ would like to reintroduce the genre, and they would like to create independent series for Vision and the Scarlet Witch titled WandaVision. Furthermore, the idea to shoot a series titled The Falcon, the Winter Soldier, or Loki seems promising as well.
