You can meet Hungarians everywhere on Earth. Although Hungary is not such a populous or large country, something related to Hungary appears in many world-famous series.
In our previous article, we presented many examples of Hungarian connections in the world of animation series. We have already shown that many celebrities have Hungarian roots. It is also a well-known fact that more and more films are being shot in Hungary, mainly in Budapest. This time, we show Hungarian scenes appearing in series.

Several adaptations have been made from Joseph Heller’s novel Catch-22. In one of the scenes of the mini-series made by Hulu in 2019, a world-famous Hungarian can be seen on the boxes in the background. In the Mr Robot series produced by USA Network, we can also pinch a Hungarian reference. In one scene, we can see the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. In another, we can see the Hungarian Parliament.

Budapest is also spoken of in The Big Bang Theory, one of the most successful comedy series.
One of the main characters, Sheldon Cooper, in his show Fun with Flags, talks about how Buda and Pest unite and thus Budapest is formed. “And that’s why Budapest is the BudaBest,” the character says. In a Star Trek episode set in 2372, we can also meet Hungarian references. In one scene, Hungarian food called chicken paprika is made.

There was no one on the boxes!
