1 million refugees to come, PM Orbán to work from a barrack near the Ukrainian border

Change language:
Hungary can expect to receive up to 900,000 refugees from Ukraine, the prime minister’s chief domestic security advisor said on Wednesday, citing projections.
György Bakondi told public news channel M1 that more than 432,000 refugees had arrived in Hungary by noon on Wednesday. Whereas in the first phase of the military operations people were fleeing Ukraine before the war reached them, they are now fleeing directly from the war to safe neighbouring countries, he said.
This new situation requires different kinds of efforts from the Hungarian authorities, civil groups and local councils,
Bakondi said. This means there will be an even greater need for the various organisations to coordinate their efforts, he added.
Index.hu reported that more than 255 thousand refugees have already arrived in Hungary. Therefore, PM Orbán decided to work closer to the border. He plans to move to the barracks of Debrecen. He said that the war is expanding, and Hungary could face challenges due to an increased number of refugees expected to arrive next week. Based on the news outlet’s information, Orbán plans to meet police, healthcare and military leaders of Eastern Hungary. Furthermore, he will speak with mayors and civil organizations.

He probably moved there to register 1 million voters and fabricate their votes.
