Daylight saving time will begin in Hungary on Sunday, 27 March, with clocks going forward an hour.
In line with the rest of Europe, clocks will change to summer time before dawn so that 0200 becomes 0300. The EU-standard change will slightly affect railway and long-distance bus transport timetables.
The switchover will
affect the timetables of two international trains.
The Dacia-Corvin expresses running between Vienna and Bucharest will depart from Berettyóújfalu in both directions with a 60-minute delay.
Hungary adopted the daylight saving system back in 1980. Under a 1996 government decree, summer time begins on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October.
Here is the weather forecast for Saturday:
Sunny, no rain. Cumulus clouds appearing in the east and the northeast. Strong gusts of westerly, north-westerly winds. Lows: -3, +5 C. Highs: 17, 22 C.

“clocks will change to summer time at dawn so that 0200 becomes 0300.” Really? Dawn today (Saturday 26th March) was at 05.35 so when the clocks change it will be at 06.33. The clocks change before dawn.
We’ve changed it.
