Prime Minister Viktor Orbán evidently condemns the massacre committed in Bucha, Ukraine, his press chief said on Saturday.
Hungary will in every possible form support the international investigation aimed at identifying the perpetrators of that bloodshed, Bertalan Havasi cited the prime minister’s position on Saturday.
Orbán made it clear at his international press conference on Wednesday that “this is a war that Russia started attacking Ukraine, which is aggression”, adding that it is the European Union’s position “which Hungary shares”.
The prime minister
urged an independent and impartial probe into the atrocities,
saying that civilians must be protected and violence against them must be “most firmly condemned”, the press chief said.
Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party (PiS), criticised in a Friday interview Orbán for what he called the Hungarian prime minister’s failure to condemn Russia for the murders committed in Bucha.
