IT problems cause delays at Budapest Airport! -UPDATED
Problems with IT systems resulted in extended waiting times at border crossings on roads and at the Liszt Ferenc international airport in Budapest from 1pm on Saturday, the national police headquarters said.
Work is under way to resolve the problems but travellers are advised to consult the police’s border crossing information website Hatarinfo and the road information system mobile app Rutin before setting off, police said on its website.
Simplified border crossing procedures have been introduced to reduce the waiting times, police said before 3pm.
Traffic at the borders has been undisturbed since 5pm, police added. Thanks to simplified border crossing procedures introduced to reduce the waiting times, there were no significant delays, police said.
