We need to acknowledge the patriotism of the Hungarian military. We need to acknowledge that the efforts by the Hungarian government to improve its military are on the right track. We also need to acknowledge that the current size of the Hungarian military is completely inadequate to defend the country. We also need to acknowledge that the current effort to improve weapons & equipment (after 30 years of neglect) are inadequate in both numbers and speed. Right now there is a war next door that could quickly spill over into Hungary and the country is not prepared either militarily or diplomatically.
