Finnish Santa Claus Joulupukki to come to Hungary: here you can meet him
The original Santa Claus, the Finnish Joulupukki, is to come to Hungary this year. He aims to encourage little ones and adults alike to take part in charity actions.
According to hvg.hu, the Finnish Santa Claus will come to Hungary, the Mikulásgyár Alapítvány (the Santa Factory Foundation) said. The illustrious guest’s task will be to tell parents and children how crucial donations and solidarity are. Endre Zsolnai, one of the organisers, shared Joulupukki’s thoughts on the issue, raising awareness of the importance of helping those in need.
Mikulásgyár would like to collect tens of thousands of donations again. Afterwards, they would distribute that with the help of a Hungarian foundation dedicated to helping starving children (Gyermekétkeztetési Alapítvány). The donations will reach kids in 50 settlements in Hungary.
You may meet the Finnish Santa Claus on 1 December in Budapest, at the opening ceremony organised by the Mikulásgyár. The next date is 6 December in the capital. Furthermore, you may meet the Finnish Santa Claus in Sárvár (3 December), Bábolna (4 December), Szerencs (6 December), and Szombathely (7 December).
