New, influential Hungarian party born from the presidential clemency scandal?

The Hungarian President, Katalin Novák, and the former Justice Minister, Fidesz’s EP list leader, Judit Varga, had to resign due to a pardon granted to a helper of a paedophile criminal. We still do not know whose idea it was to support Endre K’s bid, but Péter Magyar, the ex-husband of Varga, became very upset after her ex-wife’s withdrawal from politics. He said those responsible for the outrageous case remain hidden behind the two women’s skirts. Therefore, he began inviting critics of Fidesz into a new party that may become influential in Hungarian politics soon.

Several Hungarian media outlets wrote that Novák gave the presidential pardon only because it was the request of her former mentor, Calvinist Bishop Zoltán Balog, Hungary’s human resources minister between 2012 and 2018.

However, he did not take responsibility for the claim. He remained bishop despite causing considerable harm to the Calvinist church with that decision.

But Magyar did not attack him in the several interviews he gave and Facebook posts he wrote in the last few days. He focused his criticism on Antal Rogán, the minister of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister. Mr Rogán is probably the most unpopular Hungarian politician. Mr Magyar said Rogán even interfered in his divorce from Varga, saying it should be friendly and silent.

He highlighted in an interview with telex.hu that there is a lot of criticism inside Fidesz, but he did not mention names because he did not want to break anyone’s career.

A lot of people heard about Magyar

We wrote HERE about Magyar’s claims concerning the influence of PM Orbán’s wife, Anikó Lévai, in Hungarian public affairs. Magyar claimed that he witnessed Lévai requesting reports from ministers and MPs concerning political issues even though she does not wield formal power.

In his interviews, Magyar said that political and financial power is in the hands of a couple of families in Hungary. Basically, Orbán does not intervene in business sector matters, but he is the final arbiter provided there is a dispute between Hungarian oligarchs.

But Magyar does not stop only at criticising the Orbán regime. He seems to be starting a political party soon. And he has a chance to grab a seat in the European Parliament elections on 9 June. According to a new survey, more than 66% of the people already know his name and his criticism towards the government. That rate means Mr Magyar has a wider recognition than several Hungarian top politicians regardless of whether they are in the government parties or in the opposition.

Will an influential, popular political party be born on 15 March?

Furthermore, he beat the entire Hungarian political field concerning the number of reactions he received on his Facebook activity. He garnered almost 700,000 interactions on 38 posts he shared. That tops the second politician on the list, FM Péter Szijjártó (429,000 and 209 posts).

Thus, he has a basis to initiate something in Hungarian politics. And that will be on 15 March in Budapest’s downtown. 15 March is one of the most crucial Hungarian national days when we celebrate the outbreak of the 1848 revolution and freedom fight.

Magyar regularly says thousands of people offered their help for his political party. Therefore, he summons his fans to Andrássy Street (between the Oktogon and Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Street) in Budapest to celebrate together. “Let’s recite together what the Hungarian nation wants”, he highlighted in his invitation.

According to his previous posts, he would like to talk about the following topics:

Hungary’s accession to the European Public Prosecutor’s Office,
Hungary’s relationship with the NATO and the EU,
Hungary’s standpoint concerning the war in Ukraine, the leading powers of the world and its neighbours,
the introduction of the euro,
the state of minorities,
the deterioration of the Hungarian education and healthcare systems,
and the corruption that covers everything.

Magyar regularly has more than 10-20 thousand positive reactions on his posts. Thus, the 15 March 2024 can become something brand new in the Hungarian public affairs.

Critics of Péter Magyar say he is the creation of Antal Rogán to channel Fidesz-critics into a new political party, not even giving a chance to the tradtional opposition to win them.

Invigorating.
May it HAPPEN and that it is created established as a Party, that “embraces” – DEMOCRACY.
In it’s creation, it’s functionality purpose, it’s GOALS, that it be a party, that it’s CREED – in its decision making always asks first :
– what’s BEST for people, the individuals of Hungary first.
and secondly :
– what’s BEST for Hungary.
In the CORE of DEMOCRACY is Dialogue – and this MUST be a CREED in the formation of this “New” – Political Party.
It MUST be a member of the European Union, of N.A.T.O. and Schengen – and MUST – in it’s creation PROMOTE – that it will COMPLY to all Laws pertaining to Membership being part of seen as a DEMOCRACY in being – Hungary being a Member.
We live Hungary at this time under an individual, a Prime Minister – leader of a Political Party of his creation – Fidesz, a Government, that is DOMINATED by the “sheer” weight of numbers in Parliament and “other” sectors of life, spread throughout the entirety of Hungary.
One individual of his creation and doing, through his “warped” and “distorted” practice, his ideology, has DELIVERED us to the place, the un-settled place, our future Hungary of grave un-certainty, and that individual is – Victor Mihaly Orban.
Orban – over 15 years in Power as a Prime Minister – his “modus operandi” has been, continues to be “in harmony” with Russia & China – the Distillation of Democracy in Hungary.
Orban has single-handedly SMASHED relationships of Hungary.
The European Union, N.A.T.O. – the United States of America – Great Britain & Northern Ireland and GLOBALLY all country’s that are Governed under DEMOCRACY.
Orban – 1989 – from the Podium – Hero’s Square he delivered – to ALL of Hungary – You-Tube it and listen to Orban deliver this speech, spelling out that DEMOCRACY – was our Future – our Freedom and our Liberty.
History never Lies but the individual referred – never can be permitted to escape his “words” in his speech to all Hungary made in 1989.
The “Dead Wood” excessive not needed number of Opposition Party’s in the Hungarian Political “scene” – that are just DISTRACTIONS – that “sap” drain out and from away, any positives of OPPOSTION to the Orban Government, must be CULLED.
The Politics they PLAY amongst them-selves is witnessed and known, rather than an agenda finding a “common ground” to OPPOSE and “rid” Hungary of the Orban Government.
There MUST be a CULLING that includes the RETIREMENT out of Political Life, of the former Hungarian Prime Minister and his Wife.
They a ‘Vote” drainers that NO longer draw votes through time, not pleasant times, ending as a country when removed from office Hungary being in a Financial & Economic – SMAMBLES.
Solidarity it must be, a togetherness that gives Light & Hope for our FUTURE.
We are in a ” Peoples War” – the citizens, population of Hungary that must center on being a DEMOCRACY.
Hungary – we NEED change.
We can’t solve today’s PROBLEMS with the mentality that created them.
CHANGE – is the Law of Life.
And those who look only at the past or present – are certain to miss the FUTURE.
A “Peoples War” – for our Freedom our Liberty and our FUTURE.

Dear People War, you sound like a socialist. 1) The United States is NOT a democracy and NEVER was, from its founding it has always been a Constitutional Republic. There is no refuting this, it is fact. 2) You complain that FDZ continues to be re-elected but do not question why. Nothing in your complaint ever acknowledge that government is a parasite , yet it seems that you seek to have government do more and have more control of people’s lives via government services and actions…..this is not democracy, it is socialism. Hungary suffered under that immoral mess before and rejected it. Shining a turd, still leaves it a turd.

Victor Mihaly Orban – same place – Hero’s Square in June of 1989 – 35 years on, from the Podium, to ALL of Hungary, all of Europe to the Global World, to ‘Banish” communism that Hungary our way forward was under Democracy, that we must NEVER return to the past, what we as a country endured under communism post 1945 to 1989.
