Orbán not invited, Szijjártó dismisses London meeting as ‘pro-war gathering’
The meeting in London this weekend will be “a gathering of European pro-war forces that Hungary has no business with, as our country belongs to the peace camp”, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, said on Thursday.
Peace negotiations between the US and Russia are ongoing, and “only a US-Russia agreement can end the war in Ukraine”, a ministry statement quoted Szijjártó as saying in reaction to a statement by Donald Tusk, Poland’s prime minister, that several European leaders will meet in London this weekend.
“We belong to those who are rooting for the success of peace talks…” he said, adding that leaders “who do not regret either [the loss of] lives or billions of euros” were gathering in London.

On Sunday, 2 March, leaders from a number of EU countries are meeting at the invitation of the British Prime Minister to discuss a common European defence.
As Szabad Európa has learned from diplomatic sources, Viktor Orbán has not been invited.
According to the news outlet, one reason could be that Hungary did not vote for the UN resolution that clearly classified the invasion of Ukraine as Russian aggression.

What would P.M Orban be doing among the war mongers. The London meeting will determine the number of Ukrainian women that will have their sons killed; the more infrastructure destroyed. The numbers of acceptable victims will be raised because it is not the British, French, German and Belgian mothers whose children will be killed. It is the Davos globalist that want to extend the war, even to the point of WWIII because wars are profitable, not for the citizens but for the greedy globalists.
Ukraine is defending their sovereignty, freedom and liberty against an invader… Choices, I suppose. Hungary would obviously… What exactly should we do, if we were ever attacked and if NATO and / or European Union would not come to our aid? We would not “have a hand” (Mr. Trumps words). At all.

Ukraine gave up its sovereignty when it decided to join the EU and NATO. The EU had 3 years to make peace or attempt to make peace. All Euronews articles talk about is rearm Europe, rearm NATO; that is definitely no road to peace.
It is time for the EU to step back and allow President Trump to fix the mess Zelensky created with his backers the EU and Davos globalists; by the way the globalists are laughing their way to the bank with their ill gained profits.

The idea that a country expressing a desire to join the EU or NATO gives a neighbouring country the right to invade, seems bizarre in the extreme. The reality is that Russia invaded Ukraine. It seems clear that Putin initially thought that the Russian superpower could overwhelm Ukraine in a week or two, but of course that didn’t happen. Putin hadn’t allowed for Russian military incompetence and the age of most of the military hardware. Russia soon lost a vast number of tanks, etc. Since then we’ve been in something of a stalemate. Clearly a lot of Ukrainians have died but also lots of Russian men too, about 200,000.
What’s happening now is that a number of European countries have realised how weak Russia is and decided that they can usefully support Ukraine without US help. Overall, the Russian invasion has been a disaster for Ukraine but it’s also be disastrous for Russia too.
