The schedule is now available, but tickets are not yet on sale for the Algerian national airline’s returning flights between Budapest and Algiers. This mirrors the situation in 2024, when service was also promised, but the flights, initially slated for October, never took off. The airline is currently planning triangular routes, with stops in Vienna.
Air Algerie may return to Budapest
According to aeroroutes.com, Air Algerie operated flights between Algiers and Budapest until 2020. The airline had already announced plans to return in 2023, but those ambitions never materialised.

This time, the airline is planning triangular flights on the Budapest–Vienna–Algiers route. According to aeroroutes.com, flights would operate twice a week between the three capitals. The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart Algiers on 29 October, travelling through Vienna before heading to Budapest, and finally returning to Algiers.
The plane would take off from Algiers at 10:30 AM, land in Vienna (Schwechat) at 1:15 PM, continue on to Budapest at 2:15 PM, and arrive just 55 minutes later. The return flight to Algiers would depart at 4:10 PM and land at 7:10 PM, completing the Europe-to-Africa journey in just three hours. 29 October falls on a Wednesday, suggesting this flight would operate weekly on Wednesdays.
