PM Orbán: Hungary is one of the safest countries in Europe
“Hungary has become one of the safest countries in Europe … the number of crimes against human life or material assets is at a low point and the number of illegal migrants in the country is zero,” PM Orbán wrote in a post shared on Facebook today morning.
“We have been protecting our country and Europe against illegal migration for a decade,” Orbán highlighted. Noting Hungary’s introduction of a “legal seal” ten years ago, Orbán said the move had elicited “wrath and threats” in Brussels and Hungary’s “stigmatisation” in capitals in the West, but “we persevered, closed down the southern border and said only those could set foot on Hungarian soil that we allow to.”

“Berlin, Stockholm, Vienna and Paris have seen their public security ruined in the past ten years,” the prime minister said, adding that “hordes of migrants” were terrorising residents in those cities and “explosions… and slayings are now an everyday routine.” He also noted mass demonstrations against migrants in London, and said “the Brits have had enough; they want to recapture their homeland.”
Meanwhile, he said “Hungary has become one of the safest countries in Europe … the number of crimes against human life or material assets is at a low point and the number of illegal migrants in the country is zero.” “But Brussels bureaucrats still want to manage migration rather than stem it, blackmailing and punishing those that won’t obey; a fine of a daily one million euros has been imposed on Hungary,” Orbán said.
Homeland is not for sale
The prime minister slammed Hungary’s opposition Tisza and Democratic Coalition parties saying that they would “meet Brussels’ demands and adopt the migration pact … even if that would ruin Hungary.” “They think we could meet (requirements in) the migration pact … but we don’t think so.
We cannot, because the homeland is not for sale, the future cannot be sacrificed and the security of Hungarian people cannot be bargained down,” he said. Orbán pledged that the Hungarian government would “continue its resistance in Brussels” and “preserve Hungary as a migrant-free country.”
Orbán: ‘Barbarism’ in Sweden consequence of ‘weak government’
Orbán said in a post on X on Monday that in Sweden “the abandonment of traditional values, the neglect of common sense, and weak governance have led to barbarism taking root in the home of one of Europe’s greatest nations.”

In his post, Orbán wrote that “the Swedish government lectures us about the rule of law. Meanwhile, according to an article by Die Welt, criminal networks are exploiting Swedish children as killers, knowing the system won’t convict. A country once known for order a safety is now collapsing: over 280 underage girls arrested for murder, families living in fear. It’s heartbreaking. The Swedish people deserve better!”
In a video attached to his post, referring to media reports, Orbán said that 284 underage girls had been arrested in Sweden, whom “the mafia used to shoot people dead because they could not be prosecuted.” “That is how they will be ruined, with all order abolished and barbarism left behind. It is not just making a mistake: they have logged out of civilisation,” Orbán said.
In his post, Orbán said “criminal gangs are using underage girls as instruments of killing. The mission of the rule of law is to ensure the safety of our people. Where underage girls are systematically used for murder, the rule of law is dead. Sweden is our friend, and the Swedish people are a great and noble nation. We are worried for you! God bless Sweden!”
FM Szijjártó: Only weak governments allowed illegal migration; Sweden already lost
Hungarians have clearly said they wanted nothing to do with illegal migration, and no one else may decide who they want to allow into the country, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook on Sunday.
Commenting on press reports that Sweden currently had criminal procedures under way against 280 teenagers on suspicion of manslaughter, Péter Szijjártó said that the significance of Hungary’s “weighty decision 10 years ago is becoming increasingly clear to all Hungarians.”
“No matter the pressure … Hungarians clearly stated that they want nothing to do with illegal migration,” he said.
Hungary had warned against the “irreversible consequences of mistakes on illegal migration,” he said. “Where weak leaders of weak governments allowed migrants to enter, they cannot be expelled again….” he said.
According to press reports (e.g. the government-close Mandiner), Swedish crime rings are recruiting teenage girls increasingly frequently to commit “heinous crimes, including murders for hire”, the reports said. Mandiner wrote that most offenders share a common link—their migration background.

Nope, not at the top in any safety research reports. Crime and violence rates are higher than in many other European countries. Still plenty of work to do in Hungary to improve safety here. Poverty creates crime.

Austria is 2nd or 4th depending on the survey, despite ludicrous claims emanating from Hungary that its western neighbour has turned into a festering cesspool of criminality. I have experience of visiting Austria over the last 40 years and precisely zero percent of the people I’ve met – including those living in the larger cities – exhibited any fear of crime or reported being a victim of crime. I’ve never once remotely felt threatened or uncomfortable, the country is a paragon of civic pride and order.
8 of the top 10 safest countries are in western Europe while Czechia and Slovenia might be in CEE but economically they’ve virtually caught up with the west, certainly when adjusting incomes for ‘PPP’. I’m not surprised to see them on the list, they’re both exceedingly civilised places.
And for some demographics, such as Jews, it is THE safest country in Europe.

Hungary has the potential to be a place where Jews, Arabs, and everyone else can coexist, just like in Muslim Spain or the Ottoman Empire. But today, in the EU, we’re facing crises, immigration, sovereign debt, war, and looming defaults, that have been imposed on us, not created by us. Nationalism, corruption, and the unchecked power of multinational corporations are the real drivers of division. These problems aren’t accidents; they’re engineered by those in power to maintain control and keep the system working for them. Hungary could be a safe haven, but this needs to be a win-win for everyone. Otherwise, it’s pointless.
Historically, the EU has been about keeping power in the hands of the few. Politicians, corporations, and financial elites thrive on division. They sow fear and instability, manipulate people (look around, you hear it all the time), distract from the real issues, and hold onto power. The more divided we are, the less we can challenge the status quo.
Extremism thrives in this environment because laws are weak, and opponents are silenced, killed or banned. Instead of addressing the root causes: economic inequality, political corruption, and the interests of the powerful, the elites shift blame onto the people. They point fingers at whoever suits their narrative, and we’re left paying the price. Useful idiots repeating this message.
But we don’t have to wait for corrupt leaders to fix things. We need to take control. The solution is holding those in power accountable, those who’ve created and profited from this mess. Immigration isn’t just the problem; the system is. It blocks real integration and opportunity because the elites want us divided to stay in charge. This isn’t just politics, it’s about control.
We all have a role to play. Show up, speak out, and demand accountability. The people, not the elites, have the power to change things. If we don’t act now, the future is clear: a fractured, divided Europe where trust is lost and extremism rises. The doomsday clock is ticking, just look it up. The elites will keep us divided until it’s too late, but we can stop them if we act now. The time for waiting is over. The future is ours to shape, but only if we take action today. A safe place? Yes, Hungary could be more than that. But we need to hold each other’s hand first. Know the power of the people. We need to decide, stick together, and make it happen.
