BREAKING: 28 flights cancelled at Budapest Airport

The escalating conflict in the Middle East continues to directly impact air traffic in Hungary, with 28 flights cancelled on Sunday at Budapest Airport, the operator of Liszt Ferenc International Airport.

According to an official statement sent to the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) and posted on Facebook, both departing and arriving services have been affected, particularly on routes connecting Budapest with major Middle Eastern hubs.

Flights to and from Tel Aviv, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Amman were among those cancelled.

Situation remains fluid throughout the day

Airport authorities warned that the situation is highly dynamic, with flight statuses potentially changing several times within the same day.

“The status of flights may change continuously during the day,” the operator said, stressing that further delays or cancellations cannot be ruled out as the regional security situation develops.
