Insanity: Man jumped off of Budapest’s tallest building with a parachute

A foreign man carried out a risky parachute jump from the top of the MOL Campus tower in Budapest on Tuesday evening, drawing attention from onlookers and authorities alike.

According to reports, the man climbed the exterior of the building before launching himself into the air, landing safely in a nearby car park after a brief descent, writes 444.hu.
Security was a mere witness unable to intervene
Footage shared by Freeflow Nation Instagram account shows the man scaling the structure while spectators watched from below. Security staff reportedly pursued him after the landing but were unable to stop him before he reached the ground. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.

Police launch proceedings
The incident was reported to the police at around 17:45. Budapest police officers arrived at the scene, detained the individual and conducted an inspection. Authorities confirmed that administrative and misdemeanour proceedings have been initiated due to irregularities surrounding the conditions and legality of the parachute jump.
