Hungarian police unit departs to help patrol Serbian-Bulgarian border
Budapest, December 5 (MTI) – A new contingent of 20 Hungarian police officers left for Serbia on Monday to help their local colleagues patrol the country’s border with Bulgaria.
The contingent, which will be the third Hungarian unit to help out on the Serbian-Bulgarian border, was seen off by national deputy police chief János Balogh.
The unit will contribute police cars, freight trucks and vehicles equipped with thermographic cameras to the joint mission.
The first Hungarian contingent’s posting on the Serbian-Bulgarian border lasted from Oct. 24 to Nov. 16 while the second contingent left on Nov. 15.
