Hungarian armed forces extend participation in EU Somalia mission
Budapest, December 15 (MTI) – The participation of the Hungarian armed forces in the European Union’s Somalia mission has been extended until the end of 2018, the latest edition of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny said.
Hungary will fulfil its obligation as an EU member and contribute to strengthening the community’s security and defence policy by sending up to ten soldiers to work in the EU’s Somalia mission set up for training local security forces.
The EU decided in February 2010 to launch EUTM Somalia and Hungary has participated in it since the beginning.
