Air France and KLM will maintain their usual capacity on routes connecting Budapest with Paris and Amsterdam during the winter 2026–2027 schedule. The two airlines will operate a combined 48 flights a week between the Hungarian capital and the two major European aviation hubs until the end of March.

The winter timetable began with the switch to winter time and runs until late March 2027. Across its wider network, the Air France-KLM Group is increasing capacity on several routes to meet demand during the winter travel season, AIRportal.hu reported.

Air France expands routes to the Americas and Asia

Air France will operate around 725 flights a day to nearly 170 destinations in 78 countries. Compared with the previous winter season, the airline is increasing capacity by 6% to North America, 3% to South America, 2% to Asia and 5% to the Iberian Peninsula.

Its North American network will include 23 destinations. Las Vegas will remain available throughout the winter, while flights to Orlando will operate daily during peak periods. The airline is also increasing services to the Caribbean, where demand is growing.

Brazil is a particular focus in South America. From 21 December, Air France will operate two daily flights to Rio de Janeiro and one daily service to Fortaleza.

In Asia, the airline is adding capacity to popular winter holiday destinations, including Phuket, Bangkok and the Maldives. It is also introducing daily flights between Paris and Kilimanjaro in Africa during the winter season.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi on regional flights

Passengers will also benefit from free, high-speed Wi-Fi on Air France’s regional services during the winter season.

Another development concerns the airline’s La Première first-class cabin. The exclusive product, available on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, will also be bookable on flights to Boston, Houston and New York-Newark.

KLM strengthens its European network

KLM will operate flights to 164 destinations in 64 countries from its Amsterdam hub during the winter schedule. Alongside North America and the Caribbean, the Dutch airline is placing greater emphasis on routes in northern and southern Europe.

Minneapolis and San Diego will remain part of its winter network, while services to Panama City, São Paulo and Curaçao will increase.

In Europe, KLM is adding flights to Rovaniemi and Kittilä in Finnish Lapland, as well as to Basel and Florence.

Budapest retains 48 weekly connections

For passengers travelling from Budapest, the main news is that the group is maintaining its established flight capacity.

Air France will operate 22 flights a week between Budapest and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, while KLM will provide 26 weekly services between Budapest and Amsterdam Schiphol.

Together, the airlines will therefore offer 48 flights a week connecting the Hungarian capital with two of Europe’s major aviation hubs until the winter timetable ends in late March 2027.
