Almost two-thirds of Hungarians plan summer holiday
Fully 63 percent of Hungarians plan a summer holiday this year and budget 194,000 forints (EUR 605) for travel expenses, according to a survey by K and H Bank.
Half of those who plan a vacation have budgets below 150,000 forints. Residents of Budapest plan to spend 238,000 forints, on average, while Hungarians living in smaller communities budget 160,000.
Fully 37 percent of Hungarians have no plans to holiday in the summer this year.
Some 59 percent of these people say they cannot afford to and 22 percent would rather save their money.
The survey of 500 people aged 30-59 was conducted between February 23 and March 6.
