Austrian visitors spend the most in Hungary
Budapest, June 10 (MTI) – Austrians spent 41 billion forints (EUR 131m) in Hungary in the first quarter of this year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a rundown of tourism figures released on Wednesday.
Slovaks spent 29 billion, Germans 25 billion, Americans 22 billion and Romanians 21 billion forints. Altogether spending by foreign guests amounted to 288 billion forints, up 11 percent in the first three months compared with the same period a year earlier.
The KSH also noted that in the first quarter foreigners paid 9.4 million visits, 7.4 percent more than in the same period of 2014.
