Budapest, February 16 (MTI) – The average Hungarian Facebook user spends 86 minutes a day using the social networking site, a survey commissioned by the Hungarian Content Providers’ Association financed by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority shows.
Hungarians who used Facebook the most were women, people with low levels of education and those under 30 years of age, according to the survey.
Fully 49 percent of Hungarian Facebook users said they used the site to communicate with other users, 43 percent use it for entertainment and 40 percent to stay informed. Two-thirds said they enjoyed the funny content on Facebook.
The survey was conducted of 500 Facebook users between the ages of 18 and 49. The sample was representative in terms of gender, age, place of residence and education.
