These are the best Hungarian accommodations of 2016

Szallas.hu has given away the Best Accommodation of 2016 awards since 2012. The best Hungarian hotel this year is the 4-star Residence Ózon Conference and Wellness Hotel in Mátraháza, termalfurdo.hu reports.

The winners were decided based on half million user-generated feedback and 43 thousand votes, as well as the opinion of a professional jury.

The Tourist Town of the Year category was won by Hajdószoboszló for the third time. The famous spa town has been one of the most popular holiday choices among Hungarians for years.

The Tourist Attraction of the Year is the RepTár interactive plane exhibition in Szolnok.

The Authentic Accommodation of the Year category was introduced this year, and the winner is the 4-star Forgách Castle Hotel in Mándok.

Based on the jury’s verdict and the guest reviews, this year’s best accommodation abroad is the 3-star Hotel Tatra Zakopane.

The Papp Imre, Jr. Award was given out for the first time this year for outstanding achievement in the field of tourism. The winner of the award is Kornélia Szádeczky, who received the award for her work in the Eger area.
