BREAKING: Police helicopter crashes into Lake Balaton – VIDEO

A police helicopter crashed into Lake Balaton near Balatonszéplak on Thursday afternoon. There were no serious injuries in the accident, the communication service of the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced on the police’s website.

As police.hu writes, an MD 500E helicopter fell into the water of the lake about 300 meters from the shore during a planned exercise of the Air Policing Service of the Standby Police. The helicopter’s two-man crew was rescued by a nearby ship, police.hu reports.

The circumstances of the case are being investigated.
