Budapest mayor Gergely Karácsony to be either mayoral and MEP candidate in 2024
A congress of the opposition Párbeszéd-Greens party on Saturday presented its list of candidates for the upcoming European Parliament elections headed by former MEP Benedek Jávor.
The party’s “strong and green” EP list will include parliamentary group leader Tímea Szabó, Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony, and party spokesman Richárd Barabás, the party told MTI.
Párbeszéd-Greens aims to “further promote green values . based on its Green Minimum Programme.” “We believe that the future cannot be other than green, fair, and socially sensitive,” the party said, adding that they would work to develop Hungary and Europe in line with those values.
