In recent years, tourism in Budapest has gained significant momentum, creating new opportunities for the hotel industry. The city’s appeal—whether its historical heritage, vibrant cultural life or gastronomic offerings—attracts an increasing number of visitors each year.

The hotel industry in the Hungarian capital is entering another exciting period: nine brand-new hotels are expected to open in 2025, with a total of around 800 new rooms. According to Turizmus, nearly 3,700 rooms will be added as part of ongoing developments currently under construction. The city remains an attractive destination for investors, despite rising operating costs, driven by a tourism boom and strong value for money compared to regional competitors.

Modernity on the edge of the airport: TRIBE Budapest Airport

For those looking to optimise their travel time, there’s good news with the opening of a stylish new hotel close to the airport: TRIBE Budapest Airport. This four-star hotel will offer 167 designer rooms, tailored to the needs of modern business travellers, digital nomads and short-haul flyers.

Facilities will include a rooftop sky bar with views of the airport, a restaurant, lounge, conference rooms and a fully equipped fitness centre. The hotel will be directly connected to the ibis Styles Budapest Airport hotel, making the complex particularly appealing to frequent travellers.

Luxury next to the Basilica: Radisson Collection

Hungary’s first Radisson Collection hotel l is set to open in the heart of the city centre in May 2025. The historic building has been renovated with special care to blend local cultural heritage with contemporary elegance.

Guests will enjoy 71 premium rooms, a fitness room, meeting rooms and two unique gastronomic offerings: a café and a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant. Targeting both locals and tourists, the hotel aims to serve as a lifestyle hub as well as a hospitality destination.

Community Experience Centre: Jo&Joe Budapest

Located on Klauzál Street, Jo&Joe is entering the market with a new concept: the accommodation caters not only to tourists but also to locals. The design is youthful, informal and playful, aiming to create a community space that doubles as an event venue, co-working space, café and accommodation.

The room mix is varied, including both private units and shared dormitories. With 376 beds in total, Jo&Joe Budapest offers an alternative suited to all ages and lifestyles.

A new member of a famous hotel chain: BO53

BO53 will be the third hotel in the BO chain, located on Csengery Street. This boutique hotel will offer 80 rooms, including kitchen apartments and family-friendly units. Facilities will include a wellness area, saunas, a jacuzzi, massage rooms and a fitness centre.

The hotel will also be operated with a strong emphasis on smart technology. Although the project predates COVID-19, it is now ready to provide a genuine alternative for both business and leisure travellers.
