Car sales are increasing in Hungary

The sales of vehicles under the gross weight of 3.5 tons show a 32% increase in comparison with the 2013 data reports ma.hu. The amount of vehicles sold in the previous year had reached 1986 cars.

The winner on the market is Skoda with 785 sold vehicles, overtaking Ford with the number of 728 cars, Opel with 637 and Dacia, which was the 4th most popular brand with 402 vehicles sold.

The most popular car model was Skoda Octavia in Hungary with 446 sold, but drivers liked Ford Focus, Dacia Duster and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross as well, with the number of 308, 199 and 186 vehicles sold respectively.

Regarding light commercial vehicles, Hungarians invested the most in Ford models, purchasing 207 Ford Rangers. The second most popular model in this category was FIAT Ducato with 189 sells, and Ford Transit got the third rank with 123 sold cars.

The registrations of new vehicles are mostly done by companies, taking up 81 % of the buyers.
