The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (CCCH) hosted a memorable Canada Day celebration at Pasarét Bisztró in Budapest on 6 July, bringing together members of the Canadian and Hungarian business communities, diplomats and invited guests.
Canada Day, celebrated each year on 1 July, marks the anniversary of Canadian Confederation in 1867. On that date, the British North America Act united the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, laying the foundations of modern Canada. Today, the national holiday is also a celebration of Canada’s history, diversity and shared democratic values.

The event opened with a welcome speech by Nicholas Sarvári, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, who greeted guests and highlighted the importance of the occasion for the CCCH community.
The evening offered an opportunity for networking, informal discussions and celebration, reflecting the close and long-standing relationship between Canada and Hungary. Guests from the business and diplomatic communities gathered at Pasarét Bisztró to mark Canada Day in a festive atmosphere centred on friendship, cooperation and the Canadian spirit.

For the CCCH, the celebration was another important occasion to bring together partners and members who contribute to strengthening economic, cultural and personal ties between the two countries.
